'''Chi Do Kwan''', is sometimes wrongly written about as a seperate Kwan that was founded by Yun Gae Byung under many confusing spellings of his name, when in fact, their never was a "Chi Do Kwan", but it should be "Jidokwan". Farakas and Cocoran mistakenly wrote about "Chi Do Kwan" in a poorly written history book on martial arts. This is the root of the confusion. Chosun Yun Moo Kwan Kong Soo Do Bu, founded March 3, 1946 (from www.TaekwondoJidokwan.com) changed it's name to Jidokwan in the 1950's, electing Kwae Byung Yon as it's president. |
